Updated Wood Paneling (without paint!)

My baby was in a good mood today, and I’m finally feeling better after spending the first half of my week with Strep Throat. (no fun)
So today was the day to tackle these paneled walls I’ve been dreaming about covering for the last year!

I found this Pinterest Tutorial, and ordered a large roll of embossed, heavy weight wrapping paper from Paper Mart.

The putty the Pinterest tutorial suggested worked just okay for me. It just didn’t feel strong enough. It could have been my paper and the wood paneling. I wound up using clear packaging tape in spots to help hold the paper in place. I also used white flat head thumb tacks on the seams of the paper to give it a little extra something. I’m happy with it. Not bad for $40, and way easier than trying to paint the paneling!
